About
Offline Arcade started as a notes file on my phone. I kept a list of games that ran fine on a train, a plane or in a dead spot with no reception, and friends kept asking me to share it. Eventually the list turned into this site.,We only cover games that actually work offline. That means we download them, cut the Wi-Fi, switch on airplane mode and see what still runs. If a game nags you to connect every five minutes, it doesn't make the cut.,Choosing what to review is simple and a bit stubborn. We play each game for at least a few hours, usually more. We write about the controls, the pacing and the little annoyances, because those are the things you only notice after the first day.,Nobody here is sponsored to say nice things. If a game is flat or crammed with timers, we say so plainly and move on to something better.
