Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of role-playing game I keep coming back to. The combat is turn-based, so it's easy to pick up and put down, and you never lose anything by pausing between fights. The whole campaign downloads up front, which means no mid-quest surprises when you lose signal.

Party management is where it shines. Each character has a small but meaningful skill tree, and I actually had to think about who to bring into tougher encounters. The writing is light on filler and the maps are compact, so you're never wandering an empty field for twenty minutes.

If you like numbers going up and a story that respects your time, this one is worth the storage space.
