Adventure
Lanterns of Marrowvale
★★★★★ 4.6
Lanterns of Marrowvale is a point-and-click adventure with a gentle, melancholy mood. You explore a small village, talk to a handful of characters and solve environmental puzzles by paying attention to detail. The whole thing is offline and self-contained.
The pacing is slow in the best way. Puzzles rarely rely on obscure logic; most of the time the answer is somewhere you've already seen, and the game trusts you to connect it. I finished it over a weekend and thought about it afterward.
If you want something atmospheric that doesn't demand twitch reflexes, this is a lovely pick.
